Shoe Expansion at Bergdorf’s

In case you haven’t already heard, Bergdorf Goodman has expanded their shoe salon on 5th Avenue at 58th Street in New York. For some of us, this mean a convenient one-stop-shop fashion heaven to pick up all of your weekly, luxurious must-haves. For most of us, however, it is just one more extraordinary boutique to window shop and save up for the season toward that one special pair of shoes. Whether you chose to browse online or at their 2nd floor shoe salon, Bergdorf’s updated presentation of flats, boots, platforms, and stilettos is sure not to disappoint. Here are a few of my favorites, Bergdorf’s 5th/58th blog.

1. Giuseppe Zanotti suede and strass peeptoe slingback, $1,495. 2. Ash fango brown leadh enigma bootie, $375. 3. Brian Atwood pony hair maniac pump, $770. 4. Dries Van Noten colorblock lizard ankle strap sandal, $995. 5. Alexander McQueen lasercut white hair calf peep toe platform $1,325. 6. Rene Caovilla brown satin/leather/raccoon fur sandal $1,250. 7. Stella McCartney black velvet bootie $1,095. 8. Christian Louboutin hematite strass daffodile platform, $5,995.

I’m not a huge fan of colored shoes, especially when they’re a wedge, but these guys are the perfect combo of a chic, natural hue with trendy straps. I’m loving anything rose-colored lately, which is so out of norm for me, but looks good with a tan. Perhaps these, as well, could be a transitional piece to your early fall wardrobe. Let’s face it, $42 for anything, especially a shoe, is definitely a jackpot.
